- Discovery Princess will sail a one-time cruise from Singapore on October 28.
- This sailing will be prior to her homeporting season in Sydney from November 2025 to April 2026.
- This news comes after Singapore announced it would be performing extensive upgrades to Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
Princess Cruise’s Discovery Princess will make her maiden call to Singapore this October, before embarking on a six-day roundtrip cruise. She will stop at various places in Malaysia, including Port Klang, Penang and Langkawi.
This will be Discovery Princess’s only Southeast Asia voyage before she touches down in Sydney in November 2025. Her Australia homeporting season will feature trips around New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Built in 2022, Discovery Princess will be the line’s newest ship to visit Singapore and Southeast Asia. Coral Princess was the last to visit in October 2024, as part of a repositioning cruise, so the arrival of Discovery Princess will be an exciting event for the region.
Her maiden call to Singapore was revealed shortly after Singapore Tourism unveiled its plans to upgrade the Marina Bay Cruise Centre, an effort aimed at making the terminal more accommodating to mega-ships and larger crowds of people. The makeover will cost S$40 million.
What to expect on Discovery Princess
Discovery Princess is Princess Cruise’s fourth-largest ship, with a passenger capacity of 3,668, with a total of 18334 cabins. Her 19 decks include 14 bars and lounges, two swimming pools, eight outdoor Jacuzzis, and 16 elevators.
For the first time in Southeast Asia, passengers will be able to enjoy the Princess 360 Experience. This seven-course dining event is only offered on Discovery Princess and Enchanted Princess.
The menu is not available to the public to maintain an air of mystery and surprise for guests but is said to include world-class cuisine and visual artistry. They’ll be bubbles and incredible wines paired with the food, which is said to be destination-inspired.
Diamond Princess in Singapore
Discovery Princess’s sister, Diamond Princess, will be homeporting in Singapore from December 6 until February. For the 14-night Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam cruise departing December 23, 2025, the starting prices are from A$3,809 for a balcony cabin.
The ship will then operate from Japan for the majority of 2026, with 50 cruises heading to exciting destinations, including Tokyo, Okinawa, Nagasaki and Busan, in the South Korea.
