An Aussie gym brand is to feature on the latest Celebrity luxury mega ship alongside Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop.

The news came as the line announced a major wellness program including specialised F45 gym classes designed to make you “physically, mentally and spiritually content”. The ship will also feature a  ‘Women in Wellness’ initiative, more than 120 available spa treatments and AquaClass SkySuites, a wellness oriented accommodation suite.

“Wellness is so fundamental to our philosophy at Celebrity Cruises, that we continue to build and grow a truly special onboard experience where it is woven into every aspect of the guest journey from the stateroom to the spa,” said Celebrity Cruises President and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo. “And, because we’re doing all of this at sea, which is incredibly therapeutic in itself, it becomes a wonderful wellness journey unlike anything in the world.”

Celebrity Beyond will sail for the first ever time April 27, 2022 and is set to be even more advanced and luxurious than Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Apex. Already decked out with expanded versions of everything we know and love about the Celebrity Edge fleet, the on-board wellness program skyrockets the already high anticipation for Celebrity Beyond to start sailing.

Program highlights

AquaClass SkySuites

New to the celebrity brand are AquaClass SkySuites, described as “an immersive living experience,” decked out with floor-to-ceiling ocean views, private verandas, luxurious bedding and other wellness amenities. The rooms are designed by award winning British designer Kelly Hoppen.

A king-sized cashmere mattress, in-room fitness menu and priority spa reservations are just some of the perks that will come along with staying in an AquaClass SkySuite.

The Spa

Another design by Ms Hoppen, Celebrity describes The Spa as “the most indulgent spa escape at sea” and the listed amenities certainly add some credibility to this description.

The Spa has more than 120 different treatments, including a new collection of 12 destination-inspired treatments from classic Celebrity port locations. These include Caribbean coconut, Alaskan mud and Baltic soapstone, with the treatments incorporating rituals and ingredients from the regions.

Another new offering is the MLX I3DOME, which is a “three-in-one, ultra-effective detox and skin rejuvenation treatment table.” Also among the highlights is the first Kerastase Institute at sea, Ideal Image Ocean MedSPA and a new menu of Recovery Services to help improve workout recovery time and physical health.

Before or after spa treatments or fitness classes you can spend your time in the multi-sensory experience that is the SEA Thermal Suites. Guests can choose from the Mist Aroma Steam and Desert Infrared Sauna Rooms, the Rainfall Water Therapy room, the Hamman Turkish Bath and five other unique spaces.
