After 946 days without docking in the land of the long white cloud, Celebrity Cruises is finally back in New Zealand. It also marks Celebrity Eclipse’s first appearance in the country and the third ship to return to New Zealand since the pandemic.
Celebrity Eclipse has just arrived in Auckland after a transpacific sailing from Honolulu and is now on-route to Sydney for Celebrity’s first sailing in the region this wave season. On October 22, Celebrity Eclipse will head out on a 12-night itinerary to explore New Zealand.
This will be the first of 17 Celebrity sailings departing from Sydney and Auckland from now until April 2023.
Celebrity Cruises Vice President and Managing Director of Australia, New Zealand and APAC, Tim Jones, said: “Today is a huge milestone for Celebrity Cruises and the local Auckland community with Celebrity Eclipse officially making her debut in New Zealand waters.
“We are extremely grateful for the support of our valued travel partners and guests and look forward to sharing in more celebrations together as we Journey WonderFULL throughout the Australia and New Zealand season.”
Also exciting for Aussies looking to cruise with Celebrity, is the cruise line’s new partnership with Four Pillars Gin. Four Pillars have curated four special craft gin cocktails that you’ll be able to find at any of the 10 bars on Celebrity Eclipse.
Celebrity Cruises Australia, NZ and Asian Pacific vice-president Tim Jones says the partnership is providing a lot of excitement.
“This partnership comes at a really exciting time for the brand, as we celebrate the upcoming debut of Celebrity Eclipse and the return of Celebrity Cruises to local waters.
“We’ve been patiently waiting 930 days for this moment and we’re putting it all on the table with incredible new experiences like this collaboration with Four Pillars, enhancing the guest experience even further.”
