Carnival adds new zero-alcohol drinks package – ‘Cheers! Zero Proof’

• Carnival has added a new zero-alcohol drinks package.
• The package, ‘Cheers! Zero Proof, will cost AUD$39.99 and included items like frozen drinks, specialty tee and coffee, sodas and more.
• It costs $10 more than a previous P&O Australia zero-alcohol drinks package, but has more offerings.

Carnival has added the options for a new no-alcohol drinks package. Priced at $39.99 per day it’ll add a different option for those who want to enjoy some specialty beverages onboard, but don’t generally opt for alcoholic drinks, or at least not enough to justify a drinks package.

Some inclusions are sodas, juices, premium coffees and tees, bottled water, energy drinks, milkshakes and more.

You can even expect zero proof cocktails, non-alcoholic sparkling line and alcohol-free beer. Although curiously, these drinks still require you to be of drinking age. It is unclear as to whether this will be enforced.

The package is much cheaper than the $111 Cheers Package, which also includes alcoholic drinks, so many passengers will be glad to have a new option in the mix.

Princess Cruises has a similar option, but it isn’t very popular as the Princess Plus package offers a range of other inclusions at much better value.

Royal Caribbean also offers a similar option, it’s similar in price but uses dynamic pricing, so the price can jump around from cruise to cruise.

P&O Cruises Australia used to offer a similar package for $30 per day, with slightly fewer inclusions.

What’s excluded:

• Alcoholic beverages; Beer (domestic, imported, craft), Cocktails, Wine by the Glass, Spirits/Liquors, Discount on Bottled Wine.
• Beverages promoted and sold in souvenir glasses
• Beverages offered at gangway
• Beverages offered through room service, mini bars, and/or in-stateroom beverage programs
• Beverages offered at private parties and/or events
• All other beverage-related programs including merchandise, cigars, and cigarettes
• Food items

Restrictions:

• Must be purchased for the entire length of the cruise – partial-day purchases are not available.
• Package cannot be shared – it is non-transferable and intended for personal use only.
• Some items, like alcohol-free beer, non-alcoholic sparkling wine, and zero proof cocktails, carry age restrictions (18+).
• CHEERS! Zero Proof^TM beverage package does not extend to any destinations we visit, including exclusive destinations such as Celebration Key, as they are designed for use onboard our ships.
