If you are thinking of a short break to Asia, now is the time to pack up and go as Singapore Airlines is offering special airfare deals on its popular routes.

A return economy fare to Singapore now costs $642, to Kuala Lumpur it’s  $732, Penang $742, Yangon $749, Bali $740, Phuket $751, Bangkok $751, Ho Chi Minh City $755 and Hong Kong $755.

All bookings must be completed by 3 April and travel is valid up to 24 February 2018.

Further afield, there are also attractive deals on offer with a return economy fare to Tokyo at $975 and London $1448. Travel must be completed by 24 February 2018 for Tokyo flights and 24 May next year for London flights.

With all its special fares, SIA does not allow an upgrade using KrisFlyer points but they do earn frequent flyer points.

The airline has also stopped giving its frequent flyer members a 15 per cent discount if they redeem flights online.

Cathay Pacific has also launched an economy class airfare sale with flights to Hong Kong at $762, Shanghai $692, London $1459, New York $1430 and Vancouver $1494.  Travel is from 1 May to 30 November this year.

Cathay’s economy flights to Asia from Perth are cheaper. It costs $745 to fly to Hong Kong, $675 to Shanghai, $1442 to London Gatwick and $1412 to New York.

All bookings must be completed by 24 April.
