Upmarket travel company Abercrombie & Kent has unveiled a captivating collection of 10 new tailored-made voyages to entice Australians who are heading to Europe for the Paris Olympics to stay a bit longer.

In a concerted effort to get Aussie travellers to extend their dream holiday, A&K’s new voyages range from an epicurean adventure through France, an off-radar journey into Italy’s heartland and a Scandinavian odyssey of Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

With the Paris Olympics kicking off in July this year, A&K said that some of its specialised journeys in Greece and Italy will take guests on a private motor yacht to explore Crete’s stunning west coast calling at Balos Lagoon, one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, then stopping at a brewery to experience a six-course meal in Santorini. Guests will also be taken to a private leather workshop to learn how to design their own bespoke handbag in Florence.

In Spain and Portugal, A&K has arranged for a private flamenco show in Madrid, a motorcycle sidecar tapas tour in Barcelona and an intimate lunch with a Countess on the Cadaval Estate in Lisbon – a historic house known for its architectural grandeur and embodiment of Portuguese culture.

In France and England, the company has arranged for guests to create their own fragrance in Grasse on the Cote d’Azur, a private dining experience with a Michelin-starred chef in a Chateau in Bordeaux or a private viewing of the Crown Jewels in London.
