MS Zuiderdam has a Club HAL program for children in three categories. Three to seven year olds can join activities such as pirate treasure hunts, storytelling, crafts, ice-cream sundae parties and a farewell pajama party. Tweens (eight-12 years) take part in Xbox tournaments, relay races, scavenger hunts and karaoke disco parties. The Loft for Teens (13-17 years) has mocktail mixology classes, late night sporting competitions, hip hop classes, scavenger hunts, tech classes and teen-only night club events. When there are more than 100 children on board, a HAL Talent Show is offered. The Culinary Arts Center has cooking classes for kids and teens.
We found a ship that is very tastefully decorated in a comfortable décor. The staff is among the best at sea. They are friendly, eager to please, and well-trained. There is an abundance of staff to handle any request. We did not have to wait in any bar, restaurant or public area to be served. The food was varied and well prepared. Dinners were just as described on the menu and well presented. The entertainment was varied (including a comic, a magician, a singer/dancer and the HAL singers, dancers and band. There was something to appeal to anyone. -jpatrick1
