The world’s longest roller coaster at sea will be the centrepiece of the first-ever theme park at sea on Asian luxury cruise line Dream Cruises’ Global Dream.

The theme park named “Dream Park at the Pier” is featured on the line’s first 9,000-passenger Global Class ship, debuting early 2021. The “Space Cruiser” 300 metre roller coaster track is the longest at sea and goes up to speeds of 60km per hour.

The “Space Cruiser” follows right after the world first roller coaster “Bolt” on Carnival Mardi Gras which will debut August 2020. Both roller coasters are made with German roller coaster manufacturer Maurer Rides, but the “Space Cruiser” boasts a track that is almost 25 per cent longer.

It seats two riders per vehicle and the driver rider is also able to control the speed of the carts. The line also says that riders will get to experience the feeling of flying over the sea during the ride

“Dream Cruises is excited to unveil the innovative and exciting “Space Cruiser” on board the newest addition to our fleet, the first Global Class ship named Global Dream, which is set to debut in early 2021,” said Mr. Michael Goh, President of Dream Cruises & Head of International Sales, Genting Cruise Lines.

The first theme park at sea also feature other attractions like bouncy obstacle course “Bounce Activity Park”, a trampoline park “Jump!”, bungee trampoline “Shark Bay”, surf simulator “Wipe Out’.

Guests can also turn into a human gyro at “Cosmic Chaos”, fly in the arms of “Kranky Kraken” the octopus, race in mini karts at “Little Dreamers Ride” and more.

Global Dream will sail global itineraries including Australia, New Zealand, the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean after debut. The ship is being built in German shipyard, MV Werften and will have 2,500 cabins as well as Asia’s largest luxury ‘ship-within-a-ship’ concept, “The Palace” with 151-suites. The ship will also feature state of technology on board, like smart sensors in cabins and around the ship.
