Spanish cuisine is on the menu tonight – I’m guessing paella – plus we’re having a Spanish tapas and cocktails party pre-dinner, and we’ve booked to sleep on the main day bed up on Deck 6 tonight!

Palma de Mallorca’s port is at least a half hour’s walk from the city centre so, thankfully, SeaDream I had a complimentary private shuttle running back and forth on the half hour, to make the journey that much easier.

Although I would’ve been just as happy relaxing on the Pool Deck with a cocktail, we checked out some tourist sites (mainly the huge waterside Cathedral) and made use of the main shopping streets, until it poured with rain and we ran back to the shuttle bus.

The bad weather is following us and when we got on board we hear that, if all passengers are back, we will leave Mallorca at 7.30 instead of midnight, to beat the rough seas.

SeaDream I’s crew planned to have a disco in the Main Salon tonight and close the Deck 4 Piano Bar, a favourite after-dinner congregation area. Funnily, most regular attendees still gathered there and, after discussions with Frits, the hotel manager, it opened! I love this flexibility and the passengers were all very pleased!
