Ian and Tracey Davidson from the Sunshine Coast have won our Regent Seven Seas competition in Alaska!

The couple had planned a cruise to The Last Frontier in 2020.

But their plans were halted due to the pandemic. And thanks to Regent Seven Seas, they have now been given the opportunity to fulfill a bucket-list dream.

The couple are the winner of the Alaskan holiday, which includes flights and the voyage – all worth $35,000.

“I’m still in absolute shock,” said Mr. Davidson when Cruise Passenger called him with the good news.

“We started cruising in 2015 after a chaotic Christmas with the family. Once we had stepped on the ship, there was just such a great vibe and community. And we have loved it ever since.”

The couple has predominantly sailed with P&O Cruises and Princess, and they will be sailing on the new Celebrity Edge when she arrives in Sydney later this year.

“Tracey is retired, and I am still working. Our plan, once we both retire, was to splurge on a luxurious cruise like Regent Seven Seas.

“But this will be a great opportunity for us to try a luxury cruise and also in a destination that we have been longing to get to,” he said.

“Alaska has been on our bucket list for a long time and we are so excited to go.”

The Davidsons have four more cruises booked and will be heading to Alaska with Regent Seven Seas to sail from September 6.

The seven-night cruise departs from British Columbia. The Davidsons will visit Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and the Icy Strait.

Each port has a number of immersive shore excursions. For instance, they will be able to sample the flavours of Juneu with a visit to a local brewery or taste some authentic Alaskan creations.

Or in Skagway, they will be able to take a bicycle ride through the lush rainforests and learn about the area’s indigenous plants and animals.
