The Galapagos-bound ship underwent a week long makeover which included a number of upgrades to accommodation and public areas.

Celebrity Xpedition has made her stylish return to service on September 23, 2018, with an array of enhancements across the 100-guest ship.

The ship has new staterooms, lounges, and restaurants, as well as faster and more reliable Wi-Fi. Water filtration systems are also now available on every deck for guests.

“The upgrades we’re making to Celebrity Xpedition and the upcoming arrival of our new Celebrity Flora, the first ship designed specifically with the Galapagos Islands in mind, will transform the way our guests discover this amazing place and take our unrivalled Galapagos offerings to an entirely new level,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO, Celebrity Cruises.

Suites and staterooms have been refreshed with new carpets and balconies as well as newly installed with RFID locks for easier room access.

For dining, The Beagle Grill has been decked out with new furniture and lighting, as well as state-of-the-art culinary equipment. The Darwin Dining Room will receive similar design enhancements with new lighting, carpet and millwork.

Guests will find also find a new video wall, finishes and textiles, as well as a new dedicated DJ station in The Discovery Lounge, a guest favourite hangout.

Come June 2019, Celebrity Xpedition will also be rolling out enhanced suite services and amenities. Suite guests will get to enjoy stateroom attendants who can help with packing and unpacking, full in-suite dinner service, upgraded premium bathrobes, luxurious Kuno bath products from Ecuador, and more.

Suite guests will also be geared up with marine binoculars to use on their cruise, as well as backpacks and rain ponchos that they can take back home with them.
