The custom-built AmaPura was launched in 2014 and cruises Myanmar’s Irrawaddy River. The 188-foot vessel combines modern and traditional design with elegant public areas including a restaurant, lounge and bar. It has a shallow draft, allowing it to navigate the river nearly year-round. It has three decks and carries 54 passengers and 36 crew.
AmaPura has 28 suites, ranging from 285 square feet with French balcony to 420 square feet with two balconies. All suites have in-room temperature control, deluxe hotel-style bedding, bathroom with L’Occitane toiletries, flat-screen television, in-house phone, safe, USB jack, complimentary bottled water replenished daily and a desk.
AmaPura’s onboard restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and lunch. There are selections of hot entrees, soups, salads and desserts. For dinner, guests are offered a range of regionally inspired cuisine and traditional favourites.
AmaPura has a spa/massage area, a gift shop, a lounge with bar and a sun deck for lounging, enjoying a cocktail and watching the scenery drift by.
There are no facilities specifically for children on board.
