Woman banned for life after horrific photo stunt

A cruise passenger has been photographed standing on the outer edge of her balcony stateroom on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas.

The photograph, which was originally posted onto the Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor Society Group on Facebook, shows the woman displaying extremely reckless and dangerous behaviour.

Peter Blosic, who is a passenger onboard the Allure of the Seas, captured the photograph of the woman who appears to be standing in a one-piece bathing suit with her arms up, holding onto the ship.

According to the post, Mr Blosic contacted guest services and the woman was eventually tracked down to the cabin she was staying in.

Cruise lines have strict rules in place to ensure the safety of their guests, and one of them is to never climb over the railings, go from balcony to balcony or stand on the railings or veranda furniture.

And their policies regarding dangerous behaviour by passengers onboard state that the individuals will be escorted off the ship at the next port of call and depending on the severity of the offence, may even be blacklisted from ever sailing with the line again.

“Earlier this week on the Allure of the Seas a guest was observed recklessly and dangerously posing for a photo by standing on her stateroom balcony railing with the help of her companion,” Jonathon Fishman, manager of corporate reputation, said.

“Security was notified and the guests were later debarked in Falmouth, Jamaica, as a result of their actions and are now banned for life from sailing with Royal Caribbean.”

At the time, Allure of the Seas was sailing at sea towards the first should call at Labadee which is today. The ship had departed Fort Lauderdale, Florida on October 13 as part of a seven-day western Caribbean cruise. Other calls include Falmouth in Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico before returning to her homeport on October 20.

This is not the first time Royal Caribbean has had to ban a passenger from reckless behaviour.

At the beginning of the year, a passenger was filmed by his friends jumping from his balcony aboard Symphony of the Seas while the ship was docked in the Bahamas.

The man sustained injuries and he and his entire group were escorted off the ship and banned for life cruising with Royal Caribbean.

  1. im agree bob beer, all cruise lines must have the same way of punishment for idiots

  2. I’m sick and tired of people like her causing such problems where the cruise line gets blamed for self-inflicted stupid acts of reckless behavior and then they or their family have the audacity to turn around and try to blame the cruise line when things go wrong. People like this should be banned from all cruise lines for life from every Cruise Line everywhere. Who do you think ends up paying for lawsuits or settlements……. the passenger does! If the shoe fits then fine….but not in this instance. You know damn well that going over a railing for a selfie is UTTERLY AND TOTALLY WRECKLESS AND COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE. People have paid alot of money for there cruise and the last thing anyone needs to remember is some stupid jackass pulling a idiotic stunt like this. I commend Rccl in ONLY kicking her sorry butt of in Falmouth Jamaica. I believe she should have been made an example of and prosocuted to the fullest extent of the law as to try and defere any future acts of blantent stupidity. We all want to have fun on a cruise and enjoy every moment but NO ONE wants to bear witness to people’s mindless acts of idiotsy or in the worst case scenario, searching for someone who fell overboard. Simply put…smarten up people.

  3. Is this real, faked, a different ship and / or a recycled photo ? Been on Oasis and Symphony and could not recall any white solid balconies facing the sea. Now had a look at photos of the ship. Eg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allure_of_the_Seas#/media/File:Allure_of_the_Seas_(ship,_2009)_001.jpg Can find white walls but all walk areas have glass ‘railings’. Does not match the bridge area. The photo also shows some white posts, some loud speakers, something like a white survival pod and part of what might be a yellow tender. So has to be low down? Can’t find anything to match up. Anyone else?

  4. Royal Caribbean and all other cruise lines should enter into an agreement to ensure that idiots like this are banned forever from all cruise lines, never to be allowed on board any ship ever again. It’s the only way to deal with brain-dead morons who have no thought for the potential impacts on other people.

  5. How can some people be so dumb? Ban her from all cruise lines for life. Next time she may not be so lucky.

  6. Hopefully the grandfather who dropped the toddler from the ship will be unsuccessful in his attempt to blame the cruise line and get compensation and will also be banned for life. We do not want to get to the stage where ships have to lock windows and put up higher railings to prevent passenger stupidity from becoming fatal.

  7. OMG. This is the kind of person that will wreck cruising for all of us. If this level of stupid keeps up the cruise lines will stop doing balconies.

  8. Could you see the lawsuit if she lost her balance and fell? Or the energy/time/money expended by others to save her life? I can’t understand why people do things like that. It’s pointless and dangerous.
