The flagship of the P&O Cruises fleet, Britannia was launched in 2015. The 143,000 tonne British ship attracts couples, solo travellers and families with children. It has 14 passenger decks and can accommodate 3,647 passengers and 1,350 crew.
Accommodation
Britannia has 1,837 staterooms with several grades of double/twin cabins, four types single cabins, including single balcony cabins, and luxury suites with their own butler and separate living areas. All cabins are air-conditioned and feature Egyptian cotton sheets, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, hairdryer, safe, large, flat-screen television and good sized en-suite bathrooms with toiletries pack
Food
The three main dining rooms on Britannia are the Meridian, Peninsula, which offer Freedom Dining (no fixed seating or times) and the Oriental, which has Club Dining (same table at the same time each evening). There are a number of casual venues including the Horizon buffet, and specialty restaurants such as The Epicurean, for fine dining and molecular gastronomy. The Glass House provides guests with wines from all over the world paired with each course.
Activities
The large Oasis Spa Complex has a beauty salon, saunas and steam rooms. Guests can book massages, facial treatments, acupuncture, manicures and pedicures. The adults-only Serenity Pool is situated outside the spa and there are another two pools on board, along with a gym with fitness classes and a full-sized sports court for tennis, cricket and football.
Families
There is a free on-board program for two to 17 year olds called The Reef with age-specific activities overseen by qualified staff. Younger kids are split into Splashers (2-4 year olds), Surfers (5-8 year olds) and Scubas (9-12 year olds). Teenagers (13-17 years) have H2O, their own room to chill out, watch movies, play games or participate in coaching sessions, talent shows and parties. The Night Nursery is for children aged between 6 months and 4 years and is open from 6pm to 2am nightly.
