Melbourne-cup winning jockey Wayne Harris will be onboard the Carnival Spirit for the inaugural cruise for this year’s event.
Wayne has won more than 2,000 wins during his career including a Melbourne Cup victory in 1994.
He will be joined by race caller John Tapp for the Melbourne Cup cruise, and the duo will be sharing their stories from decades in the industry. You can even get some tips and advice ahead of the race.
During the six-night roundtrip from Sydney to Melbourne, there will be a number of themed events including a fashion presentation hosted by television presenter Erica Davis of Sydney Weekender and Australian fashion designer Karen Gee who has dressed Samantha Armytage, Melissa Doyle and Lisa Wilkinson.
The cruise departs on October 20 and features three days of racing activities in Melbourne including the Emirates Melbourne Cup, exclusive to cruisers on Carnival Spirit and admission to Crown Oaks Day.
Fares start from $949 per person, twin share and from $1,699 per person, twin share.
The fares include general admission tickets into Flemington for the Emirates Melbourne Cup and Crown oaks Day races, transfers on Cup day as well as onboard meals, entertainment and activities.
