In Short:

Celebrity Cruises have released the sailings for Celebrity Edge for the 2027/28 season.

  • Celebrity Cruises have released the sailings for Celebrity Edge for the 2027/28 season.
  • There’s plenty of interesting takeaways, with plenty of New Zealand sailings on offer and Celebrity maintaining very fair pricing.
  • Celebrity Solstice sailings aren’t released yet, but are set to be released on December 11.

Celebrity Cruises has released Celebrity Edge’s sailings for the 2027/28 season, as well as revealing when Celebrity Solstice will be available to book, as she brings her newly remodelled interior to Australia.

There are 18 sailings on offer, with destinations ranging from the South Pacific, New Zealand, Great Barrier Reef, Tasmania and two wine-focused cruises that will visit Hobart, Adelaide and Melbourne. All cruises leave from Sydney, apart from a single one-way cruise from Auckland to Sydney.

Overall, the sailings spell plenty of good news. There are more options for New Zealand, prices are very competitive and there’s still more to come with Celebrity Solstice sailing more cruises in Australia.

Cruise Passenger has gone over the new sailings, and picked out everything you need to know, as well as highlighted a few key itineraries.

Stand out itineraries

  • A 10-night Auckland to Sydney sailing that starts from just $2150 might just offer the best value of the lot, with two dates on offer. If you’re not looking to start off your cruise in New Zealand, you can go in the opposite direction, starting from $2318, also for 10-nights.
  • The wine-cruises also offer great value, particularly for a specialty cruise. There are two sailing dates, with the nine-night cruise starting at $2036.
  • For something different, there’s a 12-night Fiji and Vanuatu sailing, starting at $3073, visiting Noumea, Suva, Lautoka and Lifou.

The Takeaways

New Zealand back on the menu: Celebrity has been a bit erratic with its New Zealand sailings lately, with Celebrity Edge only set to visit New Zealand three times this season, but nine-times in the 2026/27 season. However, these sailings confirm New Zealand is truly back, with nine-sailing on offers, including new 10-night sailings, which offer great value at just over $200 a night.

This offers a better New Zealand deal that you can generally find with lines like Royal Caribbean or Princess Cruises. If we look at Royal Caribbean’s 2026/27 season, the cheapest you can find is about $240 a night for a New Zealand sailing, and most are around the $300 per night or more range.

Similarly for Princess sailings for the 2026/27, you’ll generally be looking at at least $260 per night, with other options starting from well over $300 a night.

Prices are looking good: Even though these cruises being a few years away might make you think prices would be on the rise, they still look very reasonable. Prices are looking below that of a cruise line like Princess. None of the cruises for the 2027/28 season start at more than $300 per night, and there are plenty closer to the $200 per night mark.

No short cruises on offer: It looks like Celebrity will leave the short-cruises to Royal Caribbean, with the shortest cruise offered being six-nights long.

Lelepa not in the picture – yet: As of now, no cruises featured the upcoming private destination of Lelepa, which Celebrity has confirmed it will visit and is set to open in late 2027. It’s possible that after its opening date is official, itineraries could be updated to include Lelepa.

Celebrity Solstice

Celebrity revealed that Celebrity Solstice itineraries will be available to book from December 11, 2025. This will be interesting for Aussies, as while Solstice already sails a couple of sailings here each season, Celebrity appears to have hinted that Solstice will become a second homeported ship alongside Edge.

If so, it could potentially be Solstice that picks up the majority of the Lelepa sailings, or it could base itself around different parts of Australia.

Celebrity fans will be keenly awaiting the announcement to see what could be on offer for the first time.

Solstice is getting a major refurbishment in March 2026, with new stateroom categories, venue upgrades, enhanced suites, new restaurants and more set to come along after the ships drydock.
