Oceania Cruises have announced new itineraries, new ports and new destinations for 2021 and 2022. Tropical and exotic locations will be on offer, along with upgrades to the fleet. Cruise Passenger takes a look:

Announced today, the world’s leading culinary and destination focused cruise line, Oceania Cruises has unveiled its 2021-2022 collection of itineraries. Of the 75 brand new itineraries, destinations across the Caribbean, South America, South Pacific, Africa, and the Far East are included.

Titled the “Topics and Exotics Collection”, there will also be ten new ports for the cruise voyages in destinations the line describes as “uncommon and off the beaten path.”

With 105 itineraries on offer in total for the cruise line in 2021 and 2022, 75 of them will be brand new, plus 10 exciting new ports for passengers to explore.

Oceania’s 10 new ports will include:

  • Whittier, Alaska
  • Mystery Island, Vanuatu
  • Panama City, Panama
  • Amami Oshima (Naze), Japan
  • Ishinomaki, Japan
  • Îles des Saintes, Guadeloupe
  • Moji, Japan
  • Onahama, Japan
  • Otaru (Sapporo), Japan

The new ‘Tropics and Exotics’ destinations include:

Africa: The collection of voyages explores a diverse range of locations across Africa with one-of-a-kind touring options such as unforgettable safaris.

South America: It ventures to the southernmost reaches of South America and explores the best of Patagonia. This itinerary includes a rare opportunity to explore remote Antarctic locations such as Deception Island and Paradise Bay.

Tropical islands: Passengers can explore diverse tropical escapes featuring boutique ports such as Roseau in Dominica, Kralendijk in Bonaire, and Kingstown, St. Vincent and the new port of Îles des Saintes in Guadeloupe.

Pure South American Bliss:

Explore the beauty of Brazilian beachside retreats or some of the most exotic regions of South America, such as The Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro itinerary. Visit the emerald-green bay surrounding the beaches of Porto Belo, cultural treasures such as the colonial centre of Parati and the culinary highlights of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

The Amazon voyages combine rainforest explorations with Caribbean destinations, plus expeditions around the southern tip of South America. Passengers can cruise further south past several Antarctic islands.

Transit of the Americas:

Departing 1 December 2021 aboard Marina for 18 days.

Featuring a Panama Canal Transit, overnights in Fuerte Amador and Lima, plus calls on Ecuador and exciting Western Caribbean islands and ports.

Polar & Patagonian Quest:

Departing 8 January 2022 aboard Marina for 20 days.

Featuring scenic cruising days in Antarctica including by Deception Island, Paradise Bay and Half Moon Island, plus cruising the Chilean Fjords and calls on Port Stanley, Punta Arenas, Laguna San Rafael and more.

Radiant Rhythms:

Departing 14 February 2022 aboard Marina for 12 days.

Featuring overnights in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, along with sought-after calls on Montevideo, São Paulo, Parati and more.

Astounding Amazon:

Departing 26 February 2022 aboard Marina for 21 days.

Featuring eight days along the Amazon River including an overnight in Manaus and calls on Santarém, Boca da Valeria and more, plus calls on Brazilian seaside towns and chic Caribbean destinations.

The “Uncommon Caribbean” Experience:

Off-the-beaten-path islands like Bonaire, Guadeloupe, Dominica, St. Vincent and Trinidad are included in the new “uncommon Caribbean” voyages. Oceania’s ships Riviera and Sirena will spend the northern hemisphere’s winter season sailing these regions.

There are also several unique cruises that start and finish in Barbados. Aruba is also offered for those seeking to extend their trip for longer.

Two Panama Canal voyages will feature an overnight in the standout new port of Panama City.

Crystalline Caribbean:

Departing 11 & 21 November 2021 aboard Sirena for 10 days.

Roundtrip Bridgetown cruise featuring the new port of Îles des Saintes as well as Roseau, Kingstown, Port of Spain and several other coveted Caribbean destinations.

Departing 23 December 2021 aboard Riviera for 12 days.

Featuring unique ports such as Kralendijk, Willemstad and Pointe-à-Pitre.

Featuring a Panama Canal Transit, an overnight in Panama City, plus calls on adventurous Western Caribbean ports.

Departing 7 February 2022 aboard Riviera for 12 days.

Featuring the blissful Aruba-Bonaire-Curaçao trio, plus St. George’s, Pointe-à-Pitre and more.

Amber to Antilles:

Oceania’s upgraded fleet:

Along with the new itineraries, destinations and ports, Oceania Cruises will be refreshing their fleet of ships.

Among the fleet of six intimate and luxurious ships Insignia, Nautica, Regatta and Sirena will undergo a transformation.

Upgrades will include new residential furnishings and lighting, and bespoke artwork.

Marina and Riviera will have a refreshed colour palette in suites and staterooms, an expanded and redesigned Baristas coffee bar and lounge, subtle new design elements and a complete re-mastering of the Owner’s Suites, exclusively by Ralph Lauren Home.
