Prestigious luxury hotel brand The Ritz-Carlton now has a new home on Lonsdale Street in the heart of Melbourne. The luxurious property has also snatched the title of Australia’s tallest hotel, packing luxury in right up to the clouds.

Guests will check in at the Sky Lobby on the 80th floor, while views of the city’s skyscrapers and Yarra River dipping below, will lay the foundation for the rest of the stay.

The hotel then has 17 floors, with attractions including Atria restaurant by Michael Greenlaw, Cameo Bar, the Ritz-Carlton Club, and a day spa.

The opulent property is designed down to every detail, with architecture and decor in tribute to 1920s art deco, culinary offerings crafted around local produce, rare vintage spirits infused into cocktails and a high tea at the lobby lounge.

When you’re ready to pamper yourself you can soak in the infinity pool, the spa or the two vitality pools, or otherwise enjoy the sauna, yoga studio or relaxing deck overlooking the city.

Across 257 rooms and suites, wherever you stay you can expect sweeping city views, with rooms accented with timber, leather and stone, as well as the premium amenities you would expect from six-star luxury.

The hotel is located in the centre of the city, just across from Southern Cross Station and a short walk from Southbank.
