The much-anticipated Rome Edition is finally ready to welcome guests. The new property was originally built in the 1940s and was occupied by an Italian bank.
Many of the original features of the building have been retained in the redesign by architectur Marcello Piacentini. The hotel now has three bars, a rooftop lounge, bar and pool, a show-kitchen restaurant, dedicated wellness area and courtyard garden. There are 91 rooms which includes 17 suites.
The grand lobby has 22-foot high ceilings welcoming guests to their rooms which are each equipped with Italian art, 55-inch TV’s and large windows.
A large draw to the Rome Edition will be the signature restaurant, Anima by Chef Paola Colucci. The open-fronted restaurant allows guests to see Ms Colucci in action. She will put modern twists on traditional Italian dishes, as well as bring more international flavours.Â
In a first for the city of Rome, the hotel’s garden will serve as both a piazza and dining space. The garden will be both outdoor dining for Anima, and an all-day terrace on the opposite side.
The ground floor of Rome Edition will have two spots for a drink, Punch Room and Jade Bar. Punch Room will have a speakeasy feel, whereas Jade Bar will be catered more towards mixology. Further up, The Roof is another bar, on the seventh floor. Here you’ll get views of landmarks like the Patheon and Acqua Paola Fountain and a secluded bar area.
