Emirates will have a total of 19 new Boeing 777 freighters by the end of 2026, boosting its existing cargo fleet considerably and modernising the airline as talks in sustainability continue to heat up.
As airlines around the world scramble to modernise their respective fleets, Emirates‘ latest order puts them in a good position to keep them at the forefront of the aviation industry.
The 777 aircraft is known for its unique combination of superior range, fuel efficiency and passenger comfort. This will not only help Emirates meet a considerable boost in demand, but it also sets the carrier up for better in-air sustainability.
To complement this, Emirates has signed a multi-year lease extension with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise for four Boeing 777Fs in its existing fleet. If all goes to plan, this means Emirates SkyCargo will operate a fleet of 21 production-built Boeing 777 freighters, adding to its existing fleet of 11 units.
Further to this, Emirates will convert 10 passenger Boeing 777-3000ERs into freighters.

“Demand for Emirates’ air cargo services has been booming. This reflects Dubai’s growing prominence as a preferred and trusted global logistics hub, and also the success of Emirates SkyCargo’s bespoke solutions that address the needs of shipping in different industry sectors.”
