Cathay Pacific have announced a temporary reopening of its beloved The Wing Business Lounge in Hong Kong, with the city airport bracing for increased passenger traffic over the coming weeks.

The lounge will be open from Thursday March 30 to Monday April 10, catering for extra demand during the Hong Kong round of the World Rugby Sevens and the Easter school holidays. The lounge’s Noodle Bar will be back in business, complete with a Chinese buffet and Western dishes if you’re craving something local.

The Wing Business will also be operating, taking in some of the business-class foot traffic, and relieving a bit of pressure on The Deck, another business venue that has been facing increasing crowds.

The only facility that The Wing visitors may be used to that won’t be offered during this period is showers, where you’ll instead have to visit The Deck or the Pier Business.

Executive Traveller does report that The Wing is expected to reopen permanently over the coming months.

Furthermore, the Qantas Hong Kong Lounge is set to come back into business in early May, currently receiving some minor refurbishments in preparation for an official ribbon-cutting.

This will mean the return of familiar favourites such as the Chinese barbecued pork bar, yum cha trolley and more.
