You often hear about the bargain basement prices of interior and quad cabins. But what about those who enjoy travelling in comfort and style? For cruisers who enjoy the suite life, here are some of the cheapest suites at sea.

Cruise Passenger found some lines could be more than half the price compared to other lines.

We compared the price of suites of itineraries sailing to New Zealand from Sydney in early 2021, based on its per person and per night cost.

The cheapest suites on board are often the ‘Junior’ and ‘Mini’ suites and all come with a balcony or verandah.

Lines like Carnival Cruises and P&O Cruises lead in terms of price at $223 per person per night, with Princess Cruises coming close at $233 per person per night.

Meanwhile, the Junior Suite on Royal Caribbean is priced the highest at $455 per person per night and Norwegian Cruise Line’s Mini-Suite is offered at $442 per person per night.

In terms of space, Carnival’s Junior Suite was the smallest at 310 square feet cabin and balcony combined and Holland America Line has the largest entry level suites at 372 to 384 square feet cabin and balcony combined.

The biggest difference in the layout and amenities of the rooms is the bathrooms. For example, Carnival Cruises’ Junior Suite boasts two full bathroom and Holland America Lines fitted their Signature Suites with full-size whirlpool bath and additional shower. But Royal Caribbean’s Junior Suite only has one bathroom with tub.
