Cruise lines have come up with some of the hottest deals on offer during the winter season.

APT is offering free flights, while Avalon is offering $4600 per couple air credit on selected cruises departing in autumn provided bookings are made by July 24.

A 15-day Amsterdam to Budapest itinerary departing on September 28 starts from $6518pp and an eight-day voyage on the Rhine from Basel to Amsterdam departing on October 10 costs from $2711pp.

Bicton Travel is offering a 10-night Mediterranean fly, tour and cruise itinerary departing Perth on September 5 from $3395pp which includes return flights to Barcelona, a seven-night cruise on the Norwegian Epic and three nights stay in a Barcelona hotel. Bicton is also offering a 16-night fly and cruise holiday from Cape Town to Fremantle which departs Perth on January 18 next year from $4995 pp. The price includes one way flight from Peth to Cape Town, a 16-night cruise on Queen Elizabeth leaving Cape Town, calling at Port Elizabeth, Reunion Island and Mauritius and a free balcony upgrade subject to availability.

Viking Cruises has a special Winter Wanderlust Sale on selected ocean and river cruises with savings of up to $5300 per couple and free or discounted flights, provided bookings are made before July 31. A 15-day grand European voyage river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest or vice versa is now priced from $5995 pp which includes a saving of $5000 per couple and free return flights to Europe on selected 2019 departures.

Viking is also offering free return flights for an 11-day Ukraine river cruise from Kiev to Odessa from $5595 pp on 2019 sailings. Passengers will cruise the Dnieper River to the Black Sea, an ancient trade route lined with rich cultural treasures.

Peregrine has an early bird sale with savings of up to 30 per cent on selected 2019/20 polar voyages provided bookings are made before August 18. An 11-day Antarctic Explorer itinerary is now priced from $10,575 pp – a saving of $3525pp while a 21-day Antarctica, South Georgia and Falklands trip is now priced at $26,460pp – a saving of $5100pp.

Royal Caribbean has a clearance sale with savings of up to 40 per cent plus US$100 on board credit provided bookings are made before July 18.

A three-night sampler cruise on Radiance of the Seas departing Sydney on October 6 is now priced at $682pp while a five-night cruise to Tasmania leaving Sydney on October 16 starts from $903pp.

Celebrity Cruises is offering passengers who book a balcony cabin on itineraries from Australia to New Zealand (or vice versa), a bonus Trans-Tasman flights from $99 per person provided bookings are made before July 12.

A 14-night itinerary from Auckland to Sydney departing on January 17 will cost $2247 pp for a balcony suite on Celebrity Solstice while a 12-night itinerary from Sydney to Auckland departing on January 31 will cost $2938 pp for a balcony suite.
