Your holiday starts in multicultural Adelaide which is infused by a curious blend of influences that permeates into the city’s restaurants, arts scene, live music and fashionable bars.

Make time to visit the South Australian Museum for insights into the country’s artistic heritage or stroll along Port Adelaide and stop by to savour a harbourside eatery.

You will then board the legendary Ghan for your two-night journey through the Australian Outback. Onboard train staff will be at your beck and call as you settle into your private cabin where you are able to view the changing scene from your picture window. As darkness falls, head to the Queen Adelaide Restaurant for a delectable and sumptuous regionally-inspired dinner matched with fine wines and beverages.

Dinner at Telegraph Station

Wake up to the new picture window the next day and be in a world which feels miles from home. Watch the sun rise at Marla, an outback post in the remote reaches of South Australia. Following brunch, you will wind your way through the MacDonnell Ranges to Alice Springs for a day of exploration.

As you head further to the tropical north, you will come face-to-face with the pristine wilderness of Katherine and marvel at the stunning Nitmiluk Gorge, one of the Top End’s most impressive natural wonders. Cruise through the awe-inspiring gorge and learn more about the ancient Indigenous rock paintings.

As evening falls, you will arrive in Darwin where you will disembark and stay in a hotel for four nights.

After a relaxing day of leisure, you will make your way to Stokes Hill Wharf where you will board a Charles Darwin sunset cruise around the beautiful harbour. A delicious Territory-style buffet will be served as you gaze out on the spectacular hues spreading bewitching colourful hues across the glittering waters. It’s an experience you will remember for a long time.

Spend the next day exploring the wonders of Tiwi Islands on an exciting cultural tour onboard a high-speed deluxe catamaran for a 2.5 hour cruise to Wurrimiyanga on Bathurst Island to participate in a traditional smoking ceremony and totem dance. At Tiwi Islands art centres, you will share a cup of billy tea and damper with the artists.

Litchfield National Park

The next day, you will experience Litchfield National Park with its lush monsoon forests, unusual rock formations, waterfalls and cascades. Walk up to giant termite mounds, see Tolmer Falls as the water cascades down to the deep waterhole at the base of the falls. You can even feed the barramundi and turtles at Howard Springs Nature Park. To complete the day, head to Wangi Falls to enjoy a refreshing swim in the large plunge pool

Your Top End adventure ends the next day when you will fly home armed with a wealth of fantastic memories of a fabulous holiday.
