In one of the biggest-ever destination launches,  Silversea has unveiled more than 280 new sailings for 2023/24. The luxury line is offering cruises to over 690 destinations across 125 countries in 2023/24 as well as 60 maiden calls to ports the line has never visited before.

This means that Silversea will visit to over 900 destinations in total – “more than any other line” – Silversea said.

As an incentive to get Australians booking ahead for its all-inclusive cruises, the line is offering reduced deposit of just 15 per cent if bookings are made before November 30 2021.

“Responding to strong guest demand for a broad range of far-flung destinations, our new 2023-24 itineraries will offer guests even more opportunities to discover the world’s most enriching experiences in all seven continents,” said Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO.

“From deep explorations of the Red Sea to new itineraries in the Arabian Peninsula, new autumnal departures in the Norwegian Fjords and our first summer sailings in Canada and New England, we have utilised nearly three decades of destination leadership to curate unforgettable experiences for our well-travelled guests.

“With three new ships in our fleet – Silver Origin, Silver Moon and Silver Dawn – and our most inclusive offering to date, our guests will travel in superlative comfort, enjoying our trademark level of service and the hallmarks of luxury that set a Silversea voyage apart.”

Highlights of the new itineraries for 2023/24 include

* 25 departures for Australia and New Zealand

Silversea will launch its largest-ever season in Australia with 15 voyages aboard Silver Muse and Silver Whisper visiting NSW coasts and call at Eden, Jervis Bay and stay overnight in Tasmania.

During her farewell season in the Kimberley, Silver Explorer will offer seven immersive voyages including two new ones. In addition to its 10-day Kimberley journeys, Explorer will also have two 17-day cruises between Darwin and Perth with visits to Montebello Islands, the Dampier Archipelago and the Abrolhos Islands. There will also be an 18-day itinerary from Cairns to Broome.

* 16 voyages in Asia

There will be nine voyages heading for the Land of the Rising Sun aboard Silver Whisper, Silver Muse and Silver Moon including four cherry blossom voyages. There will be a new 16-day voyage of Japan and South Korea including visits to Jeju, Busan and overnight stays in Hong Kong, Seoul, Osaka and Tokyo. Silver Moon with the immersive S.A.L.T culinary experience will sail seven voyages in Asia.

* 36 voyages during an extended season in the Mediterranean

From April to December 2023, the line’s four ships will have 36 voyages visiting Iberia, West/East Mediterranean, Italy and the Adriatic. Silver Moon will offer a 12-day itinerary with extended stays in Jerusalem, Istanbul and full day excursions to Alexandria focusing on its historical heritage. There will also be voyages offering exclusive experiences at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix with overnight stays in Monte Carlo.

* 38 voyages in Northern Europe

The line will call at 134 destinations in 38 new itineraries in Northern Europe including the Baltic Sea, Iceland, Norwegian Fjords and the British Isles. There will be voyages to spot the famous Northern Lights in Norway while Silver Cloud will have two itineraries to remote destinations such as Foula Island in Scotland’s Shetland archipelago, home to puffins and ponies.

* 31 voyages to Alaska             

Silver Muse and Silver Whisper will cruise 31 voyages to discover bear watching and the breathtaking glaciers during visits to Ketchikan and Juneau. There will be maiden calls to Icy Bay and Valdez.

* 12 Expeditions to the Arctic and Greenland

During the summer of 2023, Silversea will over 12 expedition cruises onboard Silver Cloud and Silver Wind and call at Disko Bay, South Greenland and Norway’s remote Svalbard Archipelago. There will be a new expedition voyage to Balfin Island to spot amazing wildlife such as polar bears, walrus, orcas, beluga whales and bowhead whales.

* 17 voyages to the Antarctica

Silver Cloud and Silver Wind will depart from Puerto Williams in Chile to unlock the icy wonders of the Antarctica from November 2023 to March 2024 and call at South Georgia, Falkland Islands, the Antarctica Peninsula and Cape Horn.

* 18 voyages to Africa and the Arabian Peninsula

Four ships will sail 18 voyages to the Arabian Peninsula and Red Sea to explore the ruins of Oman’s Sumhuram, Saudi Arabia’s Hegra and Djibouti while Silver Cloud will make a maiden call to Comoro Islands off Africa’s south eastern coast with an extended stay in Seychelles’ Aldabra Atoll.

Silversea will also offer two Grand Voyages including a 65-day Lisbon to Athens journey exploring 52 destinations including the Holy Land and Egypt and another 62-day itinerary from Cape Town visiting 28 destinations on the East Coast of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula such as Walvis Bay, Durban, Richards Bay, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Dhiba and Safaga.
