Sun Princess sails with a sleek exterior design that complements its stylish interior finish and intelligent balance between function and space. Sun Princess once was the largest ship with the most balcony cabins and a leader of contemporary cruise travel. Still on top of its game with modern designs and smart deals, it has been refreshed with new additions from its April 2016 refurbishment. Expansive outdoor spaces accentuate its preference for sailing through warmer waters with even warmer staffers and crew helping and serving everyone on deck.

The cabins’ traditional design may create an enclosed feeling, but overall rooms are space efficient and functional. All cabins include a safe, a mini-refrigerator, flat-screen TV and a hair dryer. Cabins have been upgraded with quality beds with new duvets and linens. The bathrooms are complete with basic necessities, but may be challenging for larger passengers as the space can be relatively cramped. Lighting is good thought out and furnishings are well-organised and pleasantly designed with a clean finish of lighter earth tones from beige to blond.

Food is an adventure in itself. Free dining is available at the Regency Dining Room complemented by the Horizon Court buffet and the Terrace grill. Dining is generally a two-seating arrangement. The Marquis and Regency Dining Rooms serve dinner at 5.30pm and 7.45pm. On top of the 24-hour meal service of the International Café, Sun Princess’ food options are endless round-the-clock. It only takes patience in searching and an interest in new flavors to make the most of your time and appetite.

The Asian-inspired Lotus spa on deck 12 is a great chance to try the exotic Oriental treat with acupuncture treatments and lonithermie lifts available. The fitness centre is well equipped with various gym and workout necessities. Classes are available from Pilates to Body Sculpt Bootcamp to yoga, for specific or complete body workouts. Keeping it simple, jogging is a popular choice on deck 15 around the sports court where ball and other sports are available.

Kids can be entertained at the Kids Club, and Discovery adds interest with shows such Mythbusters and Animal Planet. There is no babysitting available, but activities and programs will pique the interests of both children and chaperones.
