Seabourn Encore is the latest flagship and set sail in January 2017. This is a small ship (210 meters) in comparison to other modern cruise liners. However, she is the biggest ship in the Seabourn’s fleet. Encore has 12 decks and a passenger capacity of 600 guests and 450 crew members.  This ship is one deck and 150 passengers more than its sisters.  Encore was launched December 2016 and was designed by award-winning hospitality designer – Adam D. Tihany.  Seabourn Encore will launch in Athens as an all-inclusive luxury cruise ship. There are 5 jacuzzies located on decks 5, 7 and 9, 2 swimming pools on decks 5 and 9, 10 venues for lounges and bars and 3 restaurants.

All 302 staterooms on board Seabourn Encore are considered as suite with private balcony. There are 13 cabin categories and 88% of the suite accommodations have panoramic view of the ocean.  Wheelchair accessible suites are found on decks 5,6 and 10 as well as 11. There are 62 connecting rooms on board. Each of the suites has spacious living area with cosy seating and enough space for storage. There are plush bathrobes and a roomy walk-in closet and luxurious bathroom. All rooms have mini-fridge and in-suite bars which are filled with spirits, wines, soda, bottled water and beer. Guests can request for the stocks to be replenished. Welcome tokens are also provided for guests like canapés, fruits, flowers and a bottle of champagne.

Encore has The Restaurant which is considered as the main sit-down dining room on board. There is open seating for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner. For casual meals, guests can go to The Colonnade which is a blend of a la carte delights and buffet offerings. For a relaxed poolside and al fresco lunch or dinner, The Patio Grill is the place to be. Coffee and snacks is available on Seabourn Square which offers gelato, pastries, coffee and sandwiches. Thomas Keller (Michelin-starred restaurant owner of Per Se, Bouchon and The French Laundry) has collaborated with Seabourn Encore for the dishes they will offer for their guests.

The main show lounge on board Seabourn Encore is The Grand Salon which is located on Deck 6. This features cabaret-style seating arrangement with a red and blue color palette. The Grand Salon is a venue for classical musical performances and presentations during the night. At day time, there are keynote speakers and cooking demos to keep the guests entertained. Another entertainment hub on board is The Club which can be found on Deck 5. This has nautically-inspired interior design which is perfect for socializing over cocktails and wine. The Club Terrace is al fresco area with two whirlpools and plunge pool which are illuminated during the night. The Observation Bar allows guests to appreciate the skyline. Seabourn Encore has a Spa and Wellness program by Dr. Andrew Weil which offers guests lectures on mindful living. There are complimentary meditation and yoga sessions on a daily basis.

“We chose Seabourn after reading reviews here, so we want to help others make their choices. This was only our fifth cruise, but first one on the Seabourn. After three weeks on this ship we will only travel with Seabourn in the future. Staff, food, service, suite, and public spaces were outstanding. Every request we made they answered with a smile and exceeded out expectations. When we dined in-suite, room service brought the food in individual courses and served us as if we were in a top restaurant.  “-metta
