Sea Princess has matured to become one of best choices for those who look for the more traditional aspects of cruising. The ship radiates a smart casual atmosphere together with the comfortable, welcoming and friendly vibes of the staffers and crew. Sailing primarily through the seas of Australia, Asia and the Southern Pacific, Sea Princess is popular with family groups. The ship has a warm and intimate appeal. It offers a wide variety of public rooms and functions from bars and boutiques to amenities, arranged ingeniously along the halls that maximise the efficiency of passenger flow. The interior and the halls are a grand display of elegant design that combines traditional grandness and lustrous modernity.

Sea Princess has lesser space than its sister ships in the Princess line. With 1,008 cabins, Sea Princess offers many interior cabins, which are functional and delicately designed with pieces that accentuate comfortable intimacy. About half of the cabins have a balcony of decent size. Other than rooms with the twin-to-queen beds, family travellers may find bunk-bed rooms an interesting choice with four bunk beds in total. Generous shelving and closet space is available to stow your luggage. Each cabin has a television, refrigerator, safe, mini-bar and a hair dryer. The bathroom is petite with a decent sized shower and additional shelving for smaller items and is is stocked with basic toiletries. There is 24-hour room service offering everything from hot drinks to salads and robes.

Guests are assigned to one of the two main dining halls, which seat about 500 each, the Rigoletto and the Traviata. Designed to provide an easy private mood with multi-tier sections beneath studded, sparkling lights, the halls offer open-seating breakfast and lunch, while dinner is in two seatings. Food is of fair value with wines offered at generous rates. Though dining assignments are encouraged, guest may request a table in the other hall with 24 hours’ notice. The Italian Café Corniche, the Sterling Steak House and the buffet-style Horizon Court also are wonderful alternatives to the dining halls. The Riviera Grill (deck 14) and ice-cream parlour (deck 12) are favorite snack and casual food choices. For private dining, the Ultimate Balcony Dining program offers a table set with fresh flowers, with a champagne breakfast for $32 and a candle-lit dinner for $100.

Sea Princess’ spa combines a well-equipped gym with expansive windows, a salon with treatments for hair and nails, teeth whitening and shaves, a dainty aerobics room for yoga, Pilates and cycle classes, and an outdoor area. There are also four sizeable pools, six whirlpools, and a ball games court. To get the full deal, adults should try out the Sanctuary, which offers specialty beverages and meals, cushioned loungers and massage cabanas, for a small fee – unlimited half-day access for $10 and a full day for $20, plus a $3 charge for meal orders.

Sea Princess dedicates The Fun Zone on deck 12 to its younger passengers. It is a haven that gathers all-time favorites from Wii, PlayStation3, X-box and board games, to themed events and educational and practical programs by youth staffers. Kids may not have a dedicated outdoor space, however the deck is casually dominated by youngsters at the splash pool and courts of deck 15 and deck 12’s Riviera pool. Kids and teens are supervised at all times, however parents are given the responsibility over children below three years of age.
