Launched in 1931, rebuilt in 1979 and renovated in 2011, Sea Cloud is a beautiful, hand-sailed windjammer. The engines are used as little as possible to provide passengers with a genuine sailing experience. Sea Cloud combines luxury, romance and history. The 2,532 tonne four-masted barque has three decks and carries 64 passengers and 60 crew.

A variety of cabins are available, some with double beds and others with twin beds. The 32 cabins range from 179 square feet to 410 square feet and no two are alike. Amenities vary and may include portholes, chairs, antique nightstand, decorative marble fireplace, walk-in closet and antique desk. All cabins have a safe and telephone. Bathrooms are equipped with hair-dryer, bathrobes and toiletries.

Meals are served in the elegant dining room and menus have a European influence. Some meals are served alfresco in a canopied area on deck. Breakfast and lunch are self-service buffets.

– Cruise Passenger

“…Everything about this trip was amazing. The boat is an astonishment and the experience of being under sail on a 4 masted square rigger is something very special. With only 58 people on board, you get to know everyone and there’s a casual friendliness that no other cruise experience could provide. You feel as though you’re a guest on a private yacht since that’s what The Sea Cloud was built to be in 1931 for Marjorie Merriweather Post and E.F. Hutton. ..”
