Queen Mary 2 has a spa on board named Canyon Ranch Spa Club. This is known to be one of the largest spas at sea which offers full range of health and wellness services for both men and women. Passengers can avail of hair and beauty treatments, body scrubs, hairstyling, colouring and cutting, waxing and advanced treatments (oxygen and vitamin-boosting facials). The Fitness Centre is found at Deck 7. It is open from 6am till 8pm. Guests can use modern equipment and machines are readily accessible like cross-trainers, treadmills and bikes. For added cost, Pilates and other fitness classes are given in the Queens Room situated at Deck 3.

Queen Mary 2 caters for families and provides ample facilities and services for families cruising with their kids. The kids area is located at Deck 6. This is where the kids program is organized and delivered. The Play Zone is intended for younger kids. The Kids Zone is for the eight to 12 year olds. The Teen Zone is meant for teenagers which offers Wii, computer games, air hockey and Xbox. On Deck 6 there is a Minnows Splash pool which is suitable for kids of varying ages. Adult supervision is a must for kids when they are using the pool. Kids must be potty-trained and must wear a special swim diaper.

We chose this cruise as an alternative way to get from the States to England. I am glad we did. Our cabin (sheltered balcony) was quite nice and more than adequate for a winter crossing of the North Atlantic. A few minor details, such as stained carpet and floor of the shower, kept the cabin from achieving an excellent rating. -elroble62
