MSC Orchestra was launched in 2007. The interiors are full of wood and marble, and the focal point is a three-deck atrium with a water feature in the lobby. The family-friendly ship appeals to young couples, solo cruisers and families with children from toddlers to teens. MSC Orchestra has 14 passenger decks and can carry 2,550 passengers and 987 crew.
Accommodation
There is a total of 1,275 cabin in five categories, including 18 suites with private balconies. All cabins have a double bed that can be converted to twin beds, air-conditioning, storage space, bathroom with shower (suites have baths), television, personal safe, mini-bar, telephone, and Wi-Fi (for a fee). Room sizes vary from 150 to 300 square feet. Seventeen cabins are wheelchair accessible.
Food
Villa Borghese and L’Â’lbiscus serve as the main dining rooms and offer dinner with two set seatings and open-seating for breakfast and lunch. La Piazzetta is a casual buffet open 20 hours a day. Shanghai Chinese Restaurant offers with authentic Dim Sum, plus Cantonese and Sichuan dishes for lunch and dinner. Four Season serves gourmet Italian cuisine.
Activities
The onboard spa offers full hair salon services, manicures and pedicures, Turkish baths, saunas and massages. There is a fitness room with modern equipment and daily classes such as Pilates, aerobics, Zumba and Latin dance. There is also a jogging track, five pools and miniature golf on board.
Families
Younger cruisers are kept entertained at the Jungle Adventures Playroom and TeenÂ’s Club. Most activities cater to children aged 13 and under and include puppet shows, arts and crafts, gaming consoles, pizza parties and scavenger hunts.
