MS Douce France was built in 1997 and refurbished in 2017. The 360-foot-long river vessel cruises the Rhine, Main and Moselle rivers. Douce France has two decks and carries 106 passengers. The majority are Americans and Europeans (typically aged 45 years and above). The languages used on board are French and English.

There are 55 cabins on board MS Douce France, including twin, single and suites, all with river views. All of the cabins have individual air-conditioning units, satellite television, radio, phone (for internal calls), private bathroom with shower, personal safe and hairdryer.

The onboard restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and lunch, and three-course dinner, all in single sittings. French and international cuisine is prepared by French chefs. Guests can join food and wine tasting events on board and there are shore excursions to sample local wines and traditional cuisine.
