Magellan
ShipsMagellan was launched in 1985 and joined the Cruise & Maritime Voyagers fleet in 2015, where it received a refit. The 46,052 tonne ship accommodates up to 1,250 passengers across its nine passenger decks, along with 660 crew. Magellan attracts older, largely British, passengers with its traditional and leisurely cruising style.

There are 726 cabins in 10 categories, including single, twin, ocean view cabins and suites. All rooms have air-conditioning, ensuite bathroom with shower, ample wardrobe and storage space, a flat-screen television, hairdryer and personal safe.

The Waldorf (seats 514) and Kensington (seats 344) are the two main dining venues on board. They both offer open seating for breakfast and lunch and two fixed seatings for dinner. Raffles Bistro serves snacks and small dishes.

The wellness centre offers a variety of massages and treatments in its six treatment and couples rooms. Onboard there are three pools, two Jacuzzi’s and a gym with TechnoGym equipment including Nordic Exercisers, exercise bikes, treadmills, and a selection of free weights. There is a Sun Terrace for sunbathing.

Magellan is an adult-only ship and there are no dedicated recreation facilities for children. Generally passengers must be 16 years or older and accompanied by an adult. However, this policy may be waived on certain sailings during the European summer holiday period.
