Decorated with white, gold and teal along with faux-suede wall panels, Enchantment of the Seas’ cabins exude contemporary feel. They can be oceanview or interior in various sizes. If you’re with the family and want to maximise the cruise experience, the Family Oceanview Stateroom extends to 293 square feet and has its own balcony overlooking the sea, like other oceanview cabins. All cabins feature twin beds that can be converted into queens. Pullman beds are also available for extra guests. Inside are two end tables, a glass coffee table, couch and a desk chair. Cabins also have huge closet and drawer space. For a more high-end experience, Royal Suites have exclusive in-cabin hot tubs and baby grand pianos.

The ship offers continental breakfast at 6.30-7am, casual breakfast at 7-11am, lunch at noon-3pm, and dinner at 6.30-9pm. Tour around Windjammer Marketplace if you want a quick bite. Here they sell various food from carved meats to pizza and desserts. For formal dining, visit My Fair Lady dining room, which at lunchtime is converted to Brasserie 30. It serves flavorful shells in pesto sauce. Tasty dishes offered on board include watermelon gazpacho with celery, Vidalia onion tart, Atlantic salmon filet and peach soup and cheese gnocchi. An alternative dining venue is Chops Grille. Menu options include filet mignon and seafood. Meanwhile, orders of burgers, pizza, and fries keeps adult-only Solarium Bistro busy. Although kids are allowed to get food here, they can’t stay to eat. Smell of freshly baked waffle cones tempts guests to Ben and Jerry’s on deck 6.

Enchantment of the Sea promotes active lifestyle in Jump Zone where you can bounce your stress away on a bungee trampoline. Test yourself and reach new heights in the rock-climbing. Active fitness centre offers abs and stretching classes for free while Pilates and cycling come with a fee ($12).

If the children enjoy festivities, there are a few lined up for the Aquanauts (three-five years). They may be pirate-, dinosaur-, or superhero-themed. More fun activities include science experiments, hula-hoop contests, and face painting to name a few. Parents who want to date will not have to worry as Royal Caribbean cruises offer “Lunch and Play” that include a two-hour lunch with movies, cartoons and scavenger hunt.
