Costa Atlantica entered service in 2000. With decks named after Federico Fellini films, the ship has a mix of contemporary and classic Italian design. It attracts an international mix of passengers including families with children. The 85,700 tonne vessel has 12 passenger decks and can carry 2,112 passengers and 920 crew.
Accommodation
There are 1,056 staterooms on board, including 660 cabins with private balconies and 58 suites with balconies. Eight cabins have wheelchair access. All cabins are well laid out with twin beds that can convert to a queen-size bed, vanity table/desk with built-in hairdryer, television, personal safe and storage. There are nine main accommodation categories, ranging from 134.5 to 534 square feet.
Food
The main dining venue, the Tiziano Dining Room can accommodate 1,320 guest and is spread over two decks joined by a spiral stairway. It serves traditional cuisine. Other dining options include Club Atlantica, a steakhouse, Ristorante Wellness, for healthy food options, and Pizzeria Napoli for pizza and Italian dishes.
Activities
The Ischia Spa and wellness complex houses a gym, aerobics room, beauty salon, relaxation rooms, UVA solarium, aroma steam rooms, Turkish bath, hydrotherapy pool and a sauna. There are two outdoor swimming pools, one with a retractable roof, four Jacuzzis, a multipurpose sports pitch and an outdoor jogging track.
Families
The spacious Costa Squok Club provides organised activities for children aged three to 11 years, such as arts, crafts and games. Younger children will be invited to meet Peppa Pig and join specially themed activities. The Costa Teens Club for 12-17 year olds offers activities such as dance lessons, video games, sports tournaments, pool parties and disco-themed dinners.
