Scenic Eclipse: Ultimate Guide
Table of Contents
Scenic Eclipse keeps cruising ahead of the pack as a 6-star ultra-luxury yacht, with 76 sailings lined up between December 2023 and February 2026.
For the 2024–25 season, both Scenic Eclipse and her younger sister, Scenic Eclipse II, are expected to drop anchor in over 500 ports across more than 60 countries.
Scenic Eclipse II is also sailing Australia and the South Pacific and along Australia’s stunning coastlines.
The original ship, a sleek 168-metre yacht weighing in at 17,545 gross tonnes, made her maiden voyage back in August 2019, sailing from Reykjavik to Quebec on a 13-day discovery cruise.
2025/26 Itineraries and Destinations
Scenic Eclipse and her sister ship aren’t sitting still in 2025 and 2026. They’ll be circling the globe again, stopping in places you’ve heard of (and quite a few you probably haven’t). Think somewhere in the realm of icy Arctic outposts, coral-ringed islands in the South Pacific, and a few Mediterranean ports made for long lunches and lazy walks.
In March 2026, Scenic Eclipse II sets off on a South Pacific Discovery cruise from Fiji to French Polynesia. Expect a mix of postcard-perfect spots like Bora Bora and Aitutaki, plus a few under-the-radar gems along the way. Closer to home, the ship returns to Australia’s Kimberley Coast in August 2025, cruising from Darwin to Broome with all the dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and croc sightings you could ask for.
If polar adventures are more your style, August 2026 brings a solar eclipse sailing through the High Arctic—from Svalbard to Iceland—timed so guests can catch the eclipse from one of the most remote locations on the planet. There’s also a follow-up cruise from Reykjavik to Greenland that dives deep into glacial fjords and iceberg territory.
Back in Europe, Scenic Eclipse is heading along the Canary Islands and Moroccan coast in April 2025, with a relaxed week of sailing from Tenerife to Málaga. A week later, she makes her way from Málaga to Barcelona, calling in at Gibraltar, Ibiza, and a string of sunny Spanish ports along the way.
Then there’s Antarctica. The Ross Sea expedition departs in January 2026 for 23 days of icebergs, wildlife, and wide-open nothingness. It’s a rare route in the polar regions, sailing from Dunedin and heading deep into one of the most untouched parts of the continent.
Whether you’re after warm waters or wild landscapes, Scenic Eclipse’s upcoming season is full of “how is this real?” moments.
Dining and Culinary Experience
With up to 10 all-inclusive dining options, you’ve got everything from relaxed all-day bites to exclusive dégustation experiences. And yes, it’s all included.
Elements
This is the ship’s main restaurant, and it’s far from basic. Expect Italian flavours, prime steak, and fresh seafood—all served in a chilled-out, modern setting. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just next door, the Elements bar keeps things flowing with a solid wine list and a fine selection of international cheeses.
Chef’s Table @ Elements
Tucked inside Elements, this one’s strictly by invitation only. A private dining room for 10 guests, where the Executive Chef plates up an 11-course dégustation, each course paired with top-shelf drinks and a bit of culinary storytelling.
Lumière
If you fancy something French, Lumière serves up a refined dinner service with Champagne and caviar, lamb chops, and lobster. It’s an intimate spot (just 35 seats), and bookings are essential.
Azure Bar & Café
Light meals, fresh pizzas, salads, sweet treats—Azure is your go-to for laid-back bites. You can sit indoors or out, and in the evenings they roll out a tempting range of biscotti, macaroons, and chocolates.
Yacht Club
This bright, relaxed space on Deck 7 does breakfast and lunch with a grillhouse twist. Think smoked fish, eggs and pastries in the morning, then hearty pork, fish and pasta options come lunchtime.
Koko’s Asian Fusion
One venue, three very different dining experiences.
- Sushi @ Koko’s offers ocean-view counter seating and the freshest sushi, straight from the chefs.
- Night Market @ Koko’s is a teppanyaki-style experience for just 8 lucky guests, blending flavours from Asia to the Middle East.
- You’ll need to book ahead, especially for Night Market.
And if you’re not feeling social? Just order in. Scenic’s 24/7 in-suite dining is included too, complete with butler service and your bar restocked daily.
Onboard Activities [Family, Kids and Couples]
The Scenic Eclipse ultra-luxury cruise line ship is said to have been built for adventure, and she’s taking it to new heights. Equipped with Zodiacs, kayaks, and other discovery fleet transports, Scenic Eclipse brings her guests beyond typical tourist destinations to remote corners of the world rarely accessed by the average traveller. Not to mention the onboard activities and amenities in store for the ship’s guests.
Entertainment
Since Scenic Eclipse prides itself on destination immersion, guests will not find Vegas-style productions on board. The nightly entertainment is relaxed and low-key – think karaoke, dance parties or intimate concerts from guest musicians. The main theatre hosts movie nights with popcorn as well as farewell parties.
Bars and Lounges
The Lobby Lounge on deck 4 has a large space that can accommodate all passengers onboard. It has a whisky bar which has over a hundred varieties.
There’s also the Observation Lounge & Library at the forward of Deck 5, where guests could spend some time reading books or gazing at the horizon using Swarovski telescopes.
Scenic Eclipse also offers all-inclusive beverages onboard. Guests can have France’s finest at the Champagne Bar or they may try the wide selection of premium beverages at the Elements bar.
Spa
The ship also provides all-inclusive wellness facilities at the expansive 550-square-metre gold-leaf emblazoned Senses Spa. In addition, guests may opt to dive into the temperature-controlled Vitality Pool.
Scenic Eclipse’s helicopters and submarine
One of the amazing features of the Scenic Eclipse voyage is the chance to soar above the glaciers and mountains on board the state-of-the-art Airbus EC-130-T2 helicopter. With a seating capacity of up to six passengers, guests can experience one of the quietest helicopters while enjoying the whole view of the ship from above.
Meanwhile, guests will also have a chance to explore the wonders of the deep via U-Boat Worx Cruise Submarine 7, Scenic Neptune. This submarine is capable of going 300 metres deep with a seating capacity of six people.
Scenic Discovery Shore Excursions
The ship’s fleet of Zodiacs and tandem kayaks allows guests to enjoy observing pods of whales and exploring through waterways in an all-inclusive Scenic Discovery excursion.

FAQs
Is everything all-included?
Mostly yes. Scenic Eclipse includes meals, drinks (including top-shelf spirits and Champagne), shore excursions, butler service, and even the minibar in your suite. The only extras are things like spa treatments, helicopter and submarine rides, or maybe a boutique splurge if something catches your eye.
Is there a dress code onboard?
There’s no formal dress code, and you can leave the tux at home. During the day, it’s all about comfort (think resort casual). At night, most people go for smart casual, especially in the fine dining venues, but it’s relaxed.
Is the cruise suitable for solo travellers?
Absolutely. While Scenic Eclipse doesn’t cater specifically to solo travellers, the small-ship environment makes it super easy to meet people. Plus, with butler service and loads of lounges and quiet corners, it’s also perfect if you’re just after time to yourself. Occasionally, they offer solo traveller specials too, so it’s worth keeping an eye out.
