Victory Cruises Lines has introduced six new itineraries for 2020, adding to its โSplendor of the Great Lakesโ and โCanadian Crown Jewelsโ routes, which have been a big hit this year.
This year was the first year Victory 1 and Victory II, which are being operated by American Queen Steamboat Co started its sailings.
โOur team was thrilled with the 2019 itineraries and is proud to have expanded those offerings with the new 2020 itineraries,โ said John Waggoner, chairman and CEO, American Queen Steamboat Co.
The cruises on Victory I are priced from roughly $4,695 (USD$3,299) and on Victory II, priced from $5,400 (USD$5407).
Here are some of the new and unique itineraries the line is offering:
- The โNorth Americaโs Coastal Connectionโ voyage which be offered on both ships. It begins at Ontarioโs Port Colborne and then sails to Chicago. Some of the port calls include Detroit, Green Bay and Mackinac Island on Lake Huron.
- On Victory I, guests can do a โSt. Lawrence Seaway Explorationโ which starts with a pre-cruise overnight in Halifax before departing on an 11-day voyage that ends in Buffalo, New York. The ship will sail through the Strait of Canso to the St. Lawrence Seaway and Ontarioโs Thousand Islands. Ports include Charlottetown, Quebec City, Montreal and Port Colborne.
- The โMasterpieces of the Great Lakesโ on Victory I sails from Chicago to Hamilton. The nine-day journey travels through Lake Michigan to the Port of Muskegon to Lake Huron for Mackinac Island and then Lake Erie with calls at Detroit, Cleveland and Port Colborne.
- The Great Lakes Grand Discovery on Victory II sails from Chicago to Montreal on a 13-day cruise that explores Michiganโs Upper Peninsula and the southern Canadian coast. The trip starts with a pre-cruise stay in Chicago before Victory II sets sail across Lake Michigan. The ship sails to Mackinac Island, Sault Ste. Marie and Little Current on Lake Huron. The ship then sails to Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.
- On a 14-day journey that highlights Maritime provinces and French Canada, Victory II will sail a โCanadaโs Southern Coastโ from Bar Habor to Port Colborne. The ports of call include Halifax, Charlottetown, Quebec City, Montreal, Quebec, Kingston and Port Colborne.
