Tauck adds France to your Christmas Market wish list

  • Tauck adds the Seine River to their Christmas Market cruise list.
  • The cruise line is adding two new riverboats to arrive for the Seine and Rhone.
  • The first cruises depart from Paris in 2026.

Tauck is adding new Christmas Market sailings along France’s famous Seine River to meet the demand for the holiday market cruise trend. This will be Tauck’s first foray into the French waterways with the market holiday theme, adding to Europe’s already popular Christmas cruises.

The Seine addition comes as part of Tauck’s continued expansion, now including France’s waterways in addition to Belgium and Holland as well as two holiday cruises on the Danube and Rhine rivers. In October 2024, the company announced it would take delivery of two riverboats for cruises along the Rhone and Seine, ready for the 2026 river cruise season. The ships will carry 130 passengers and 124 passengers, respectively.

The New Christmas Market Cruise

The new Seine holiday cruise will consist of eight days and seven nights, port to port from Paris. Before departure, guests will enjoy a two-night stay in the city of lights and excursions to Tuileries Garden, Cluny Museum, and an abundance of hot mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, sausages, cheeses and chocolates.

The itinerary then includes Rouen, Les Andelys, Vernon and Poissy with excursions to the Chateau de Bizy and the Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte. More Christmas Market visits will follow in Normandy where guests can also choose between visits to the D-Day beaches or Rouen Fine Arts Museum.

There will be five departures of The Seine in total aboard the MS Serene and MS Sapphire riverboats with prices starting from $6790 per person twin share. The price includes all meals aboard the ship, snacks and complimentary all-day beverages onboard, including regional wine, beer and spirits. All private Tauck shore excursions are included as well as a private cocktail reception at Château Bizy. The first cruises will be available to depart from November 2026 with a total of eight cruises up until end of December 2026.
