Uniworld has shown off renderings of its two new super ships that will debut in 2027, the S.S Audrey and S.S Marlene, which draw inspiration from Audrey Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich respectively.

Each ship draws from the aesthetic of the actresses, while also maintaining the feel of a Uniworld ship.

Ellen Bettridge, President and CEO of Uniworld said: “One-of-a-kind design has always been central to the Uniworld experience.

“With the S.S. Audrey and S.S. Marlene, we’re celebrating two women whose style defined an era. These ships bring their spirit to life through thoughtful details and spaces created to deepen our guests’ connection to the destinations along the journey, and we’re excited to share a sneak peek inside.”

  • Across the ship you’ll find a colour palette of greens, golds and blues.
  • Guests can enjoy an intimate aft bar lounge, a private dining room that can be book, adjacent suites for families and multi-generational travel.
  • She’ll start sailing from April 16, 2027, sailing a mix of itineraries through Holland, France, Prague, Germany, Switzerland and more.

S.S Marlene

  • The S.S Marlene serves as a tribute to Germany-born actress and musician Marlene Dietrich .
  • Across the interiors, you’ll find warm tan and gold tones, accented with pinks, reds and blues.
  • Fitting up to 154 guests, the ship has all the classic Uniworld amenities onboard, with a restaurant, lounge, private dining room, spa and fitness centre.
  • She’ll begin sailing from March 27, 2027, sailing three different itineraries on the Danube river.

Other new ships on the way

  • S.S Sao Rafael will also be coming to Europe’s waterways in 2027, taking up to 94 guests at a time on the Douro River.
  • Aqua Blu, a new yacht for Aqua Expeditions will also join the larger Uniworld fleet, sailing on the islands of Singapore and Malaysia, taking up to 30 guests at a time.

Meanwhile, Uniworld has revealed details of its newest vessel, S.S. Emilie, a striking new ship set to debut on Europe’s rivers in 2026.

The new build will join Uniworld’s fleet of “Super Ships” and will sail primarily on the Danube River, offering guests luxury itineraries through some of Central Europe’s most iconic destinations.

Carrying just 154 guests, the ship has been designed to deliver the boutique-hotel style experience the brand has become known for, with highly personalised service, distinctive design and immersive cultural touches.

S.S. Emilie is inspired by Austrian painter Gustav Klimt and his muse Emilie Flöge, after whom the ship is named. The design draws heavily on Klimt’s artistic style, with dramatic Art Nouveau details, rich jewel tones and shimmering gold accents expected to feature throughout the vessel’s interiors.

Public spaces and suites will showcase bespoke artwork and décor reflecting early 20th-century Viennese culture, creating what the cruise line describes as a floating tribute to the artistic heritage of Austria.

At 135 metres long, the vessel will feature 77 staterooms and suites, many offering French balconies to maximise views of Europe’s river landscapes. A notable feature of the ship will be its flexible accommodation design, with select rooms able to be combined into spacious two-bedroom suites for families or groups travelling together.

Guests can also expect Uniworld’s signature all-inclusive offering, with gourmet dining, curated shore excursions, fine wines and personalised service delivered by a crew of around 57.

The ship’s arrival also coincides with an important milestone for the cruise line, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026. The addition of S.S. Emilie marks another step in the company’s continued investment in luxury river cruising.

Uniworld has steadily expanded its fleet in recent years with ships that emphasise destination-inspired design, and S.S. Emilie is expected to continue that approach with one of the most artistically themed vessels yet.

When the ship launches in spring 2026, it will bring a fresh blend of art, culture and luxury to Europe’s waterways, offering travellers a new way to experience the historic cities and landscapes of the Danube and beyond.
