Riviera Travel has tapped into the foodie cruise trend, announcing a new itinerary on the Seine along with three new dedicated itineraries purely for food-lovers.
The new Seine cruise is due to debut in 2026 and will consist of a five-day journey round trip from Paris onboard the Jane Austen.
The itinerary is named the Magical Paris & Festive Seine River Cruise and is designed to embrace Christmas magic along with food-based activities throughout the journey. Visits to French chateaux and country estates are part of the shore excursions, with highlights including a private organ concert at Vernon Cathedral and visits to the Christmas markets of Paris.Â
Three new Riviera Travel gastronomy cruises
The additional three culinary itineraries will be named “Gastronomy of” cruises on the Danube, Rhine, and Seine.
Due to operate between April and October 2026, the “Gastronomy of Danube” cruise will cover eight days of culinary excursions and tastings across Hungary, Slovakia, and Austria, with up to 15 land-based excursions on offer. Key highlights are the apple strudel tasting at Schonbrunn Palace and wine tasting at Wachau Valley in Austria.
The “Gastronomy of the Seine” cruise starts from $4149 per person, for an eight-day sailing. The “Gastronomy of the Danube” starts at $5199, and the “Gastronomy of the Rhine and Moselle” starts at $5399.
