Celebrity River Cruises will open bookings for its first sailings on the Rhine and Danube rivers in 2027 on September 3 with a fully refundable $800 deposit.
This will give guests access to book its first sailings in 2027 – ahead of the general public.
With the Priority Booking Access, guests will be able to explore historic cities aboard Celebrity’s fleet of transformative river ships. Celebrity expects to have a total of 10 river ships by 2029. Two ships are scheduled to be delivered by 2027, then four per year after that.
“There’s an avalanche of demand. Celebrity’s waitlist… and the calls to the call centre…” Jason Liberty, President/CEO of Royal Caribbean Group told Seatrade. “It goes back to trust. They trust we’ll be able to deliver an elevated experience. In a sense we’re going to try to miniaturize Edge class in the rivers.”
Celebrity earlier this year announced it was venturing into river cruising and its new brand, Celebrity River Cruises will include food, beverages, WiFi and one shore excursion a day in each port. They also have the option to book pre-or-post cruise stays in Prague and Budapest.
