Asia’s best river and ocean combo tours on sale

Combine river and ocean on these grand new Asia journeys sailing brand new discovery yacht, Scenic II, and river ship, Scenic Spirit.

Scenic has revealed its brand new set of tours, combining ocean, river, and land with a collection of Asia itineraries for travellers to enjoy in 2025.

Scenic’s new ocean and river cruise itineraries take guests on unique journeys across some of South East and North Asia’s most captivating destinations.

The ships

The journeys combine travel on Scenic Spirit and its very well-received new, Scenic II. The discovery yacht has been heralded as “the next big thing” for ocean exploration and features everything from day spas to helicopter trips taking off from the ship’s very own helipad.

With just 228 guests and 114 luxury suites, all with private balconies and personalised butler service, Scenic II guests can enjoy service from up to 10 world-class dining experiences on offer, ranging from casual to fine dining, as well as eight bars and lounges.

Meanwhile, its river ship, Scenic Spirit, also offers an all-inclusive way to travel with a capacity for just 68 guests in spacious suites with separate lounge and bedroom areas.

However, for those who just want to experience the brand new Scenic Eclipse II the company has also launched an Ultimate East Coast, Northern Australia & The Indonesian Archipelago itinerary on board the luxury ship.

On this 28-day journey, guests will sail from Auckland through New Zealand’s Bay of Islands and onto the islands of the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef before venturing to explore the remote islands of the Indonesian Archipelago.

Asian delights

The new tours also include a 17-day Japan & South Korea in Depth itinerary in 2025 where guests can experience 16 ports across both countries.

For shorter journeys, Scenic Spirit will take guests to enjoy the Treasures of the Mekong, a 13-day river cruise and land journey taking in Siem Reap in Cambodia and visiting Angkor Wat, before journeying to Vietnam.
