Adventures by Disney with AmaWaterways is opening up a handful of new itineraries on the rivers of Southern France for 2026, tapping into French-themed Disney excursions to further enhance the cruises.
Departing from Lyon and Provence on the Rhone River, the Adventures By Disney cruises will take in eight days of sailings across five different departure dates, with bookings commencing from February 10, 2026, for guests who have previously sailed with Disney. From February 12, 2026, the general public and new-to-Disney guests will have access to the bookings. The first sailing date is scheduled for June 4, 2026.
Of the five new itineraries scheduled, one will be purely for adults only, with plenty of excursions to vineyards and chocolate factories in the Rhone River region.

When the kids are onboard, Disney-trained adventure guides will immerse the guests in experiences throughout Lyon, Touron, Avignon, Arles, and Marseille. Highlights will also include an exploration of the Aven d’Ornac Cave, Lyon’s Silk Factories, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the bridge Pont du Gard. In Viviers, guests can practice the medieval village traditional game of petanque and ride the railway of the historic Tramway de l’Ardeche along the Vivarais Railway Line.
Kids can also take part in chocolate-making classes, fruit juice-tasting workshops and activities inspired by Paleolithic cave paintings. One Disney-inspired excursion to keep an eye out for is the Ratatouille-inspired food and wine tour of Lyon. Guests will be treated like Remy the lead character Parisian Rat who possesses extraordinary skills and tastebuds for culinary excellence.
