A reckless passenger onboard a Royal Caribbean ship, has been filmed jumping from the 11th floor balcony on Symphony of the Seas, has been banned from cruising with the company for life.

Nick Naydev, 27 from Vancouver, Washington was travelling on the ship while in the Bahamas, when he was filmed jumping 120ft in the water.

A short Instagram video shot by one of Mr Naydev’s friends, shows the Bulgarian national smiling while preparing to leap off the balcony.

After a few seconds standing on the railing, Mr Naydev jumps and plummets towards the crystal clear water below him.

Responding to the clip and telling The Daily Mail, Mr Naydev said he was “still drunk from the previous night” when he decided to jump.

“When I sobered up, my back started hurting pretty bad. Could barely walk for three days and could barely sleep from the pain.”

He was then picked up by a small boat and was told to pack his belongings and leave the ship.

The Nassau police thought the stunt was amusing and did not file legal actions. The group had to pay US$200 to fly back to Miami after the stunt.

In another video by Mr Naydev’s friend, Konstantin Kryachun, the group are seen being spoken to by officials before being escorted off the ship.

Mr Kryachun also told The Daily Mail, “He’s jumped from those kind of heights before, and we didn’t really care about the consequences with the cruise company. We just wanted to get a video of it and make it go viral.”

The video has been viewed more than 85,000 times and most people think the men were ‘idiots’ to jump from such a height.

One person wrote: ‘What a stupid idiot! Now he’s banned for life on the cruise line.’

Another said: ‘U could have died. Next time u do something this idiotic. Please think of your parents.’

A Royal Caribbean spokesperson told The Daily Mail: ‘This was stupid and reckless behaviour and he and his companions have been banned from ever sailing with us again. We are exploring legal action.”
