P&O makes it case for a return to cruising with ‘Fly the Flag for P&O Live’

P&O Cruises Australia is live streaming a special show, streamed direct from the Pacific Adventurer for those missing cruise.

As part of the ‘Fly the Flag for P&O’ campaign, the line will stream a live event on October 14, with the big names set to appear including celebrity chef Luke Mangan, radio presenter Kat Davidson and award-winning wine make Duane Roy.

P&O Cruises President, Sture Myrmell says the event is meant to recreate some of the joy and excitement that guests feel on a cruise ship and spread it with the livestream to peoples homes.

“The ‘Fly the Flag for P&O’ event coming in live from Pacific Adventure will be a joyful experience for the participants and for everyone tuning in at homes across Australia, but there is also an underlying serious message,” Mr Myrmell said.

“It will also serve as a reminder of the pent up demand among our guests for the return of cruising and the need for federal and state governments to engage and agree on a restart plan to enable the return of our beautiful ships.

“Our suppliers, whose businesses depend on cruising and have been hit hard in the pause in operations, will also share centre stage during the live event.”

For cruisers who have felt frustrated by a lack of government word or action on cruising, P&O believes this campaign is the chance for guests to stand up and be counted.

The show will take place aboard Pacific Adventure and will be hosted by P&O favourites Julie and Leeron.

The event starts at 7pm on Thursday, October 14.
