It comes as no surprise that AmaWaterways has recently launched its third new elegant ship, AmaSintra to join AmaDouro and AmaVida on the Douro this year.
The River Douro, Portugal is gaining in tourism popularity in 2025
The APT Solara is the first of a revolutionary park, with a restaurant on hydrolics and beautiful interiors.
The new APT Solara has been christened in Rotterdam by Godmother and co-owner Lou Tandy.
She will join sister ships AmaDouro and AmaVida, offering itineraries in Portugal and Spain’s Douro River Valley.
The new ship is projected to bring an estimated $5.8 million into the local economy.
River lines are now adding more capacity for cooler months like March, April, October and November to deal with the demand.
