WATCH: Cruiser gets spectacularly stuck on water slide above the ocean

• A Tiktok has gone viral of an NCL passenger getting stuck halfway down a waterslide.
• Many commenters view this situation as their worst nightmare.
• The woman escaped without any injuries.

A TikTok user has captured the stunning scene of a cruise ship passenger coming to halt halfway down a waterslide and becoming temporarily stuck in the tube. The ship appears to be an NCL cruise ship and the clip already has millions of views.

Shocker views have left comments like “I would die of a panic attack immediately”, “I’m packing, how did she get out?!”, and some even more dramatic, such as “being stuck in a waterslide over actual ocean water would send me into a psychosis”. 

Thousands more have left comments on the video, with the video already accumulating 10,000 comments alongside its almost eight million views.

Until now, it doesn’t appear that Norwegian Cruise Line has released a statement. The poster of the video said that women quickly made her way to safety, saying that “by the time I walked that way, she was out and ready to do the slide again”.

This incident comes hot on the heels of the high-profile water slide break that happened on the world’s largest ship Icon of the Seas a couple of months ago.

Cruise ship slides are generally extremely safe and cruise lines have emergency protocol procedures for when things do go wrong, but despite a couple of recent high profile incidents, there should be no reasons for travellers to have anything more than basic caution when enjoying cruise ship waterslides and water parks in the future.
