The stunning Viking Ocean Cruises has announced the longest world cruise which will span 245 days, six continents, 59 countries, 113 ports as well as 22 overnight stays.

The Ultimate World Cruise which starts at $117,995 per person (or $481 per day), it’s a bucket-list trip for die-hard cruisers.

The eight-month world cruise on the Viking Sun departs August 31, 2019 and travellers have the option to sail one of two shorter segments during the voyage.

The Viking World Treasures cruises is a 127-day sailing from London to Los Angeles that visits 33 countries as well as 61 ports or the Viking World Wonders which is a 119-day journey from LA to London visiting 29 countries and 55 ports.

All Viking passengers will receive complimentary shore excursions in each port, unlimited WiFi and World Cruise guests will get Business Class airfares and all gratuities service fees.

There are other perks like transfers to and from the ship, complimentary visa services as well as Viking’s Silver Spirits beverage package which virtually covers all drinks onboard.

Destination highlights include Ushuaia, Argentina, Mumbai, India; Luxor, Egypt and eight all-new Viking ports in South America including Roseau, Dominica; two in Chile (La Serena (Coquimbo) and Iquique); three in Peru (Arequipa (Matarani), Pisco (General San Martín) and Lima (Callao)); Quito (Manta), Ecuador and Panama City (Fuerte Amador), Panama.

Until 31 December 2018, each guest who books the Ultimate World Cruise will also receive $4,000 in shore excursion credit for any optional land programs and $2,000 in shipboard credit, which can be used toward optional tours, spa services, onboard shops and beverages.

Guests who book Viking World Treasures or Viking World Wonders will receive $2,000 in shore excursion credit and $1,000 in shipboard credit.

Explorer Society members sailing on Ultimate World Cruise will receive an additional $2,000 in shipboard credit and members sailing on the other two sailings will receive an additional $1,000 in shipboard credit.
