Viking Ocean Cruises is debuting in Australia in 2018, according to the Sydney ports cruise schedule

The listing shows Viking Sun set for arrival on January 12, 2018 at White Bay Terminal for an overnight stay and also returning on February 10, 2018 at Point Piper Buoy.

However, Viking Ocean Cruises is yet to make any official announcement about their maiden visit to Australia. “Viking Ocean Cruises has only announced ship deployment plans for Viking Star, Viking Sea and Viking Sky for 2016 and some of 2017. Any other information that appears from external sources about possible ship deployment is unconfirmed by Viking,” said Teresia Fors, Managing Director -Viking Cruises, Australia and New Zealand (Source: Cruise Critic).

The Viking Sun will be the fourth ship in the ocean branch of Viking Cruises. Its sister company Viking River is already popular amongst Australian cruisers.

Port Authority of NSW has confirmed the arrival of the Viking Sun, which is currently under construction.

Viking Ocean cruises three ships, Viking Star, Viking Sea and Viking Sky are acknowledged as state of the art ocean ships with their Scandinavian design. Built with the passenger capacity of only 930 guests, the Viking Star was the highest rate ship in the mid-size ship category in Berlitz Cruising & Cruise Ships 2016
