Setting sail in 2023, Scenic Group has shared a timelapse video showing the construction of Scenic Eclipse II.
This ultra-luxury yacht is set to begin operations from April 2023 and the video shows off the progress made so far, as well as some of the technology and construction innovations used.
The timelapse offers a unique look into the construction of a ship and how our beloved second-homes come to be, as you see scaffolding slowly transform into a nearly ocean ready ship.
Excitingly, guests can look forward to Scenic Neptune II, a next generation submarine, new features in the Senses Spa and a revamp of Deck 10 including a larger pool, outdoor area and bar.
The vessel will begin sailing out of Lisbon in April 2023, voyaging out to the Mediterranean, Scotland, the Americas, the Caribbean, Antarctica and the Arctic in an action-packed first year of sailing. Then, in an ode to the history of Scenic, Scenic Eclipse II will sail out of Newcastle in New South Wales, returning to where the company began 37 years ago. From here the yacht will sail the coastlines of New South Wales and Queensland, before heading to the Kimberley.
Anthony Laver, Group GM Sales & Marketing, Australasia said: “The addition of Scenic Eclipse II to the fleet continues our commitment to continuous innovation and bringing once-in-a-lifetime exploration to guests.
“The World’s First Discovery Yachts are unique in that they can handle extreme and diverse conditions, cruising smoothly from the pristine and icy waters of the Arctic and Antarctic polar regions, to the warm waters of Australia, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, exploring ports and unique regions that larger vessels just cannot access. We are focused on setting the benchmark in the ultra-luxury cruise sector, by constantly refining the on-board experience and introducing exciting new destinations.”
Scenic Eclipse voyages are all inclusive, including internal flights and transfers, dining, drinks and excursions.
